Chapter - 2 Anger towards the goddess rather than the unknown ceiling

And then Shouko landed in that world with a goofy sound.

Why I become like that? It is because it is snowing. When I look down, I see that the boots, which looked like they were worn by villagers, are buried in a few centimeters of snow. Boots are followed by a pair of beige trousers and a tunic, and a long-sleeved shirt could be seen under the tunic.

In other word, I am wearing thin clothes.

“It’s cold!”

The snow isn't just piling up. It is blowing like a blizzard and moreover, it is night time now.

“What is that long life you said! It is about to over soon!”

Shouko screamed, her throat almost sore from the cold air. Anyway, when I looked around, I felt like I could see a light in the distance, faintly. Whether it's my imagination or not, there's no other way to get there. I started walking frantically in the wind and snow while cursing the goddess.

“Get bald, doesn't make sense, no, does it make sense to women, uh, what do I do when I curse women? Wrinkles?”

It's hard to curse a person. A small body that would have been ten years old is hard to walk, and the cold is relentlessly sapping away body heat. The lights seemed to be getting closer, but as I passed through the trees, Shouko was unconscious. It was a long day today, I thought.

Before the snow fell on the fallen Shouko, a human figure stood beside her.

“Hey. Is she already dead?”

No reply. Because there is no consciousness. However, something in my body seemed to have moved. That figure hurriedly picked up Shouko and hurriedly headed towards the light. It was a small but splendid mountain lodge.

The man held Shouko in one hand, opened the door with the other, and hurriedly lit the fireplace. The lights have been on since the beginning, just in case the night returns.

“It’s cold outside. Why did child is being in there......”

The man smacked his tongue when he saw Shouko starting to rattle and shake at the heating.

“The fireplace won't make it in time. A bath”

One of the reasons why he is taking this job is that the hut has a hot spring.

“There's no way I'm changing the kids' clothes. Oh, it can't be helped, with my clothes I guess”

He also checks for injuries while removing his damp clothes from the snow.

“It's the kind of clothes that villagers wear, but it's not dirty at all. New underwear, too. Body clean, oh, woman! Anyway, just keep her warm.”

Shouko was held by the man and bathed until her shaking subsided, then she was forced to wear several of his clothes and shoved into the bed.

“Keep yourself warm. I wonder what it is. There was no sign of a person entering the forest. She looks like a villager, but her limbs are not rough at all. A clean body. Neatly groomed hair. And she is woman”

All that I could feel is a bad vibe.

“But she wasn't killed. I want her to disappear, but I don't want to get my hands dirty. I don't want to give away my identity. Here in the deep forest, the characteristic black hair girl purposely discards in here. I don't know...”

When I think separately inside my head,

“For the time being, Leon will be here tomorrow, so I gonna have to discuss it with him.”

I said, and slipped into the bed where Shouko was. It's a hassle to go to the trouble of getting another room.

“Kids are unexpectedly warmer”

With that in mind, I fell asleep.

Here look, there is someone who will help you, I felt the goddess is telling with smile like that.

“Don’t give a crap”

Shouko screamed and staggered up, she'd lived calmly and serenely until she was 28, and now she had yelled at her twice in one day. While gasping for breath, Shouko realized that she was lying in bed. She's wearing the different clothes, too.

“Oh, you're awake.”

The door opened and two men appeared. Who is it? The dark-haired man said to Shouko, who froze. He has brown eyes. The colors are familiar, but he has more depth than the Japanese.

“Yesterday, you collapsed in the snow, remember?”

No, I remember walking, but too think I was collapsed. With a slight tilt of my neck,

“The one who picked you up and saved you is me.”

and so on. Okay. You've helped me. Shouko lowered her head and was about to say thank you. I tried to say.

“..an..Y.ou..”

I coughed as my voice was being turned away. Was it because I shouted just recently?

“Oh, don't force yourself. Since you're wake up, let's get some meal.”

Meal! Shouko nodded her head and started to get out of bed. Yeah, the bed is high. This is what an old European hotel looks like. The man smiled bitterly at Shouko, who seemed to be escaping reality, and put his hands under her armpits to get her off the bed.

“Your clothes are dry now. Call me when you finish changing.”

I was given yesterday's clothes. Yeah, they even have pants. The one that ties it with a string. I mean, yeah. I'm just glad that my life was saved. Also, I'm 10 years old. So, it's safe. I guess it can't be helped that I've looked a little too far.

In his thin clothes, the man draped a large shirt over it, folded the sleeves several times, and managed to get his hand out and onto the dining table, which he had longed for. Yeah, the table's high. The man hurriedly fetched a blanket, folded it several times, and put it on the chair. Now I can eat at the table.

Meanwhile, the other man was giggling, but still preparing the table for us to eat. This one has light blonde hair and gray eyes. He seems to be limping a bit.

Then I was given a hot bowl of soup and a loaf of bread about the size of an adult's fist. Put our hands together and we'll take it!

Scoop it up with a spoon and take a small sip of the soup. Delicious! It's warm! I move my spoon around in fascination and settle down a bit to eat my bread.

Hard. It is unbreakable in the hand. All right, let's chew. Hard. I can't chew it with my teeth. Shouko twirled the bread around in her hands to see if she could find someplace to chew on it.

The two of them watched Shouko as she ate, and finally burst out laughing. She looked like a squirrel in the forest.

When Shouko wakes up, everything she does is different. I bowed my head in gratitude, but I wondered if there was ever a country with such a custom. The sleeves are long and the table is high, which of course means that the hut is only for adults, but to the two of them, who know nothing about life without children, it seemed somewhat new.

Despite being dressed like a villager's child, she uses her spoon elegantly. She looked at the black bread like she'd never seen it before and took a bite, but couldn't make a dent. She turns the bread around in a troubled way. How can this not be funny?

The man took the bread from Shouko, who almost sulked a little, and cut it in half with a knife and handed it back to her. Shouko looked at it with a huffed look on her face and dipped it into the remaining soup to soften it up and eat it.

That's correct. The two nodded their heads in thought. And they thought. They thought, "What an interesting creature."
